First Training Match

On Saturday TamU-K played a training match against a team consisting of players from three different local clubs. The venue was Pyynikki Stadium, so it was nice to come back to the venue of our promotion just about a month later. At some point during the second half I counted 23 people in the stand, so attendance was quite respectable for a November training match of a sixth tier club. Most had come out to see how the newcomers would perform, and for me a few of them gave a very positive impression of themselves. The final score was 4-2 to TamU-K. There were two goals from unnamed trialists, and the other two were scored by the promotion match hero Adnan Omerovic. All in all a positive event and good times with friends despite the bitter cold (4 C / 39 F). I hear that the team will continue to train outside for as long as the weather allows it. There are some subzero temperatures in the forecast for next week, so we’ll see.
